Eye disease is a major health problem in the world; people in all regions of the world are affected by range of eye diseases and vision problems. Low Vision is an impairment of vision that significantly affects a person’s ability to perform every day’s activities.
Therefore, National Agriculture Education College (NAEC) took the initiative in addressing the challenge of low vision, and provides one of the most cost-effective ways to reach all students to dramatically improve quality of their educational performance. NAEC trains its own faculty to conduct initial vision screening of students to determine whether or not a student should have further tests by the optician. Then supply corrective lenses according to the determined prescription; with standard frames for male and female students to contribute the healthcare and support students with low vision. Last semester NAEC prepared and delivered glasses for almost 140 students successfully.
